CARTER ADMINISTRATION CHOOSES LOCAL ATTORNEY FOR NATIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL

Santa Monica, CA—Author and Estate Planning Attorney, Jane Beaumont Hall, was recently designated as a member of a National Planning Giving Advisory Council, created by former President, Jimmy Carter. Friday, June 2 through Sunday, June 4th, Ms. Beaumont Hall, along with the rest of the council, flew to The Carter Center in Atlanta Georgia to discuss the future legislative procedures associated with planned gifts. The Advisory Council was briefed on Carter Center activities by President Carter.

The National Planned Giving Advisory Council consists of 11 members, including law professors, financial specialists in the area of planned giving and estate planning attorneys.  

A charitable organization founded in 1982, The Carter Center partners with Emory University, providing humanitarian programming for the purpose of advocating peace, democracy, and individual rights while promoting crop production, preventing diseases, and improving mental healthcare. A non-governmental organization, the center is funded by partnerships, health program donors, such as the Aetna Foundation and the American Red Cross, as well as individual and corporate donors.
